INSPO: CHURCH PEWS

lately i've been scouring pinterest looking for inspo...really wanting to revamp/complete our dining room...and i've been going back and forth between traditional/conventional/formal, vs. something a little unconventional...like using church pews in place of regular chairs....
a lot of our rooms in the house are about 80% complete..and we're trying desperately to actually complete them...like a hundred percent...not just so that we can relax and truly enjoy the spaces, but i'd really like to be able to showcase my work and be proud of every room...not just some...and when we entertain, the dining room is one of the main rooms everyone spends time in...

So...

i've been wanting something different...we already have very pretty chairs, and an awesome dining set-up...which i'll be posting pics of soon...but i'm wanting something a little more unexpected and interesting...which is where the church pews come in...
so far my biggest hesitation is...convenience...how convenient/inconvenient would it be to get in and out of the pew vs regular chairs?? i mean..i suppose the obvious answer is that the pews would definitely be a little more difficult to get in and out of...but then again..what about the fact that everyone loves to sit in the banquette or booth at a restaurant??? there's something so inviting and cozy about them...
and not forgetting the pic above...
it's from one of my fav inspo homes...which i'll be posting up shortly...also...but i just love everything about this dining space..., so
fun, unconventional, unique, and totally chic...the church pews are completely functional, and super inviting...the white walls, light fixture, and white painted table brighten up the space and are a nice contrast to the pews..

loving the rustic vibes in this pic...the church pew has so much vintage/historic charm...

this is probably my fav inspo pic as of right now...i'm really loving the black and white combo on this pew...the black trim against the white really brings out the bench's details, and the white will brighten things up,...it should contrast nicely to our wood-toned table and credenza... the classic combo of black and white also brings a crisp, tailored look to the bench..another unexpected aspect...so...this is the plan for now...pews in black and white...keep posted for the updates soon!
and just a couple of pics of pews in the entry/foyer...in case the dining/kitchen option doesn't work out...

a few great options if you're in the market for a dining room change-up...

our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. it is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us...we are all meant to shine...and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people the permission to do the same. as we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
